Lake Havasu City police responded to a call about a deceased individual around 2 a.m. on April 22. Officers located Sheets, 67, and reported what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The department’s Criminal Investigations Unit handled the response and the body was turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner.
